What I've been working on
My work involves translating a very wide and varied range of documents into English. Here's some of what I've been working on in the last couple of months:
Machine translation post-editing (French to English) of a very large official report, to a tight deadline. There was a particular focus on harmonisation and key terms
Corporate documents - my bread and butter! Translating articles of association, registration certificates ("K-bis"), shareholder resolutions, meeting minutes, powers of attorney, etc., etc. is a regular part of my translation mix. Not many surprises but care is always required to ensure a 100% accurate English version.
Complex set of collateral agreements and declarations of pledges for a leading French bank. Getting the defined terms correct and coherent across a dozen documents is key. The excellent drafting of the source documents made this a pleasure to do!
